I think it is simply in the translation to remove subjectivity.

Can be discussed but I think can be solved at governance.

Byelaws are affected by the basic human flow in our design.

A clear translation of expectations would help future noncoms.

As McTim mentioned he did this role earlier without any issues and community and board were happy. but of recent issues have arisen and thus also impacted on the trust issue.

So looks like as we grow those clear lines need to be drawn.

Hi,

Just so it's clear, I understand the bylaw permits the board to receive/require report from nomcom and either put an approval/disapproval stamp. I also understand board is only to look at whether nomcom followed its processes and not necessarily whether nomcom candidates are the ones liked by board.

I don't think there is public information that confirms the later has happened yet and will be good to know if it has.

That said, if there is need to change those processes, it is not what the governance committee should do. It is rather a change in the bylaw and will require the entire community member engagement.

Regards

Just a note to say that things have changed drastically from my last experience board believes it has oversight and also some level approval powers of the slate.

Just some more work for the governance committee.

I will keep my inputs very short less I'm accused again of having negative intentions. _______________________________________________
