[AfrICANN-discuss] Internet regulation at national level?

This is a naive position. What happens if Afrinic goes into receivership,
has a court case, or some other legal matter against it? The database might
then become a valuable asset that a court may decide needs to be alienated
as part of a legal settlement. Before making such lofty promises about
"mission and research purposes," it will be a good idea to take a hard look
at the legal issues involved in the jurisdictions where operations take
place.
