Hi Daniel,
Note that I’ve explicitly said longer and shorter term, because I agree that that’s not clear, unless AFRINIC/Board has a different view on that.
Regards,
Jordi

Dear Jordi,
You can't say with outright affirmation that there were no objections, I have raised my reservations on the change of tenure in the middle of the process and that did not go down well with me. I am still not comfortable about it.
More so, I want to observe some candidates were practically muscled out of the race through technicalities to prepare way for the two "confirmed persons". Again, I hope we can sustain our actions in the future. I insist that we are coming out of this process with inconsistencies.
Simply
Daniel

Hi,
I understood that it has been already confirmed that both Vincent and Darwin agreed that Vincent will serve the longer term and Darwin the shorter one, and there were no objections to that from the list.
So one less problem to solve.
I think it will be good anyway, if both of them can confirm to the list.
Regards,
Jordi

Dear PDWG
You embarked on the exercise at selecting two co-chairs to fill the vacancies in pursuance with Section 3.3 of the Consolidated Policy Manual.
The situation @9th April 2021 is as follows :
There is consensus from the Working Group for the selection of two candidates, notably Mr Darwin da Costa and Mr Vincent Ngundi.
The original task was to find replacements for the two co-chairs to serve for terms that end by the 1st AFRINIC PPM in June 2021 and 1st AFRINIC PPM in 2022 respectively. We have noted a proposal for the two co-chairs to serve for terms that end by the 1st AFRINIC PPM in June 2022 and the 1st AFRINIC PPM in June 2023 respectively.
What is required now from the PDWG is rough consensus on the term each co-chair will serve.
Regards
Policy Liaison Team

Cher PDWG,
Cordialement,
Policy Liaison Team
