Dear Eddy,

The CPM talks about selection not election. I believe as a community, we 
can select from those who offer to serve based on some minimum criteria. 
I do understand that election is also a form of selection, albeit a last 
resort.

My Preference is not just a bang between the two. The PDWG works more by 
consensus rather than voting (Either secret ballots or show of hands)

  - If one or two qualified volunteers, use them.

  - If more than 2, let the PDWG discuss around the two most willing and 
ready to do the work

  - If we still cannot achieve at least 2 within the stated time frame, 
then we vote to select 2.

It is OK for NOMCOM to handle the process.
