Dear Cochairs,

Is it normal that out of 2 cochairs, none is contact of a resource member?

I thought you were subscribed on members list either as contact of a
resource member or simply as cochair.

Having a cochair who runs network and serves as contact (technical) of a
resource member is a big wish as previously discussed in this community.

In case we end up with a good cochair who is not on member list, the
current proposal PDP Working Group (WG) Guidelines and Procedures addresses
this issue at section 3.3.1.
++++
The co-chairs coordinate the activities of the policy development’s working
group and are expected to attend all AFRINIC Public Policy Meetings. They
must remain subscribed to the AFRINIC Policy Discussion mailing list for
the duration of their term and must also be subscribed to the AFRINIC
members-discuss mailing list during their term.
+++++

On the other hand, as cochairs you should know at the current state, that
IP addresses are not owned.

We shall be following the same rules and principles when discussing and
making policies.
