[rpd] Version: 5.0 "Internet Number Resources review by AFRINIC"

Hi

I remain firmly opposed to this policy.

The fundamental problem of this policy is not how the evidence is being
present, but the fact that it is taking resources away from its active
members – it seems to* give AFRINIC the rights to do something it doesn’t
have power to*.

If you are making a review policy for more accurate registration, you will
have my full support, as the only way to move forward for AFRINIC is to be
a good bookkeeper. A good bookkeeper needs to document things even it is
politically incorrect. This is a thehard reality.

Today, about 20% of the internet is allocated to companies but not
advertised. Indeed there is a space for internal use. However, I believe
that out of those 20%, at least 90% of them remains idle.

As long as those spaces are occupied legitimately, there is no way on this
planet to take them away from people without starting a war, no government
in history ever did that.

The US government will not come to inform you that because your land from
the West was giving for free 200 years ago, you should give it back to the
government for redistribution. It will NOT tell you that if you don't need
the land anymore, you have to sell it in 3 month.

Even the US government have the most powerful army to back it up, they
don't even dare to do so. Thus, how AFRINIC, being a dozen people
registration service, with one lawyer working as a part-time, is able to do
that to an entire continent's resource holder?

If you ever plan to make a 6.0 and want to pass it, try to take out the
whole part of the recovery process, instead of putting something like not
issuing new allocation to a member in violation of accurate data
registration, and encourage members to register idle space as idle.

*It is an accurate database you want, not a communist way of wealth
redistribution.*
