Hi All,

I am really curious for the reasoning behind the other RIR's statement that they would not be able to do a transfer to AFRINIC without reciprocity.

    * Tentative Assessment from other RIRs is indicative of the following:
        * ARIN - cannot implement - need reciprocal
        * RIPE - may (or may not) implement - yet to advise on details and requirements.
        * LACNIC - Not applicable as no Inter RIR transfer policy

        * APNIC - cannot implement - need reciprocity.

APNIC is partially in that very same situation with some of their NIRs not allowing transfers out of their registry:
https://www.apnic.net/manage-ip/manage-resources/transfer-resources/nir-ipv4-transfer

NIR Incoming Outgoing	Pre-Approval
VNNIC Yes No By request
CNNIC Yes No By request

I find it a very strange statement from APNIC and ARIN to say they would not allow one way transfer to AFRINIC when they allow transfers at the moment to one way sub-registries within APNIC region.

Cheers,
David Hilario
