Hi Andrew

> The current policy is needs based – completely.

I know that.

> I presume you haven’t done an application recently since you’re sitting
on that /12 at your current employer and haven’t seen just how difficult it
is to get space and justify it, so its understood that you don’t quite see
just how needs based it currently is and how strictly its enforced.

Was the applicatuon process supposed to be easy?. I dount but hey
hostmaster has to be careful and those with space weather a /24 or /12 have
them because they justified the need.

Justify and you get your allocation. Its as simple as that at least with
the current policy.

> I just want everyone else to have the same opportunities.

I hope by everyone you are also thinking like me about Somalia, South
Sudan, CAR, Eastern Congo, Lybia etc. Imagine they come and find nothing.
New folk with no space at all will need space.

IPv6 Internet will take time to develop especially when the incumbent
Telecoms with legacy equipment are forever happy with NAT especially in the
AFRINIC region. I know this for a fact.
