I think that the Membership is capable of considering diversity when they vote.

I see no real problem with campaigning before the slate is known.  Those who have been nominated probably know that fact, and if they choose not to keep it secret then I think that is their right.

If you received email that raises concerns, then please share more details.  If you have evidence of a breach of board rules, then please share that (with somebody who is able to investigate or take action, or even with the public).  Making allegations without any supporting evidence is not helpful.
