[rpd] Policy areas to consider

Seems like there is some debate about exactly how much space AfriNIC really has left, so I'd like to get this from the authoritative source.

Can someone from AfriNIC supply this list the following information:

Exactly how much space DO we have left INCLUSIVE of the soft landing /8 and INCLUSIVE of blocks in /8s that are fragmented etc (ERX space etc)
Beyond the /8 for soft landing are there any other reservations against the space in the aforementioned line.
Can we get a breakdown per /8 of utilisation as well.  The numbers currently on the website don't seem to total up to the 2.70 /8s hence the questions.

As pointed out by Paulos already, [ceteris paribus], we may get upto 6 years ahead......and I believe it is 2.7 /8s and not 1.7 as you mentioned.

Perhaps we are looking at different stats. Here is another one that still seem to indicate 1.7

It would have been 2.7 if the /8 soft landing was not part of that stats, but i was informed that its part of it.

I am fine with this approach. I would add ARIN's policy implementation
to the list of things to watch

I wouldn't be too worried about the membership numbers themselves, until they start to result into a corresponding increase in allocation/assignments.

Indeed! looks like you think people register to be member for other reasons other than requesting for resource  [Pun intended] ;-)
