[AFRINIC-rpd] Request to recall Emile Milandou as PDWG co-chair

Hi Eddy,

 

Thank you for this update.  I just wanted to say for myself, and I believe
many others, we do have compassion for Emile and wish him a speedy recovery,
and I hope that he does not feel like this discussion is to penalize him,
but is infact merely driven by the fact that the work of the PDWG is
critical and must continue, and as such it is critical that we have active
and responsive PDWG chair's.

 

Even in the event of the replacement being temporary, I do believe that we
should appoint someone until such time as the situation can be resolved.

I met him end of last year in brazza.

It was quite an accident and his fingers were badly damaged. 

We spoke a bit last week and he has not yet started working. 

Though I believe he should have said it himself a replacement, even
temporary, should have been done long ago.

Not very much aware of the processes on the group but wanted to share what I
have seen to help guide the decision in such a case.

The last message from Emile Milandou to the Resource Policy Discussion
mailing list is dated 23 May 2012.  I send a request to the Policy
Development Working Group co-chairs on 27 January, 2013.  There wasn't any
reply from Emile Milandou.  I sent another request to the Policy Development
Working Group co-chairs on 28 January, 2013.  There wasn't any reply from
Emile Milandou.

Emile Milandou has not participated in any policy development discussions
since he was selected as Policy Development Working Group co-chair.  Would
you support a request to recall Emile Milandou as co-chair of the Policy
Development Working Group?
