Dear Colleagues,

We have successfully concluded AfriNIC-13 a week ago, followed by a 3 day
AfriNIC Board retreat in Mauritius.

We would like to thank you all for your contributions that led to  the
success of this event. More specifically our sincere recognition  goes
to our Local Host; the Department of Communication of South  Africa and
our our sponsors; Uniforum, Neotel, ISOC and Internet  Solutions ZA for
their support.

As always, it was a pleasure for our team to interact face to face with
the community.

At any one time of the day, we had about 120 people present in the
Plenary meeting room and 9 people followed the streaming online (5 on the
English channel, and 4 on the French channel).

We enjoyed discussing with Government representatives from 11 countries
who attended the 2nd AfriNIC Government Working Group meeting of the year.

The IP Resource analyst booth recorded the highest number of consultations
during this meeting with more than 18 consultations; one new onsite
membership, and 6 IPv6 allocations requests made during the meeting (with
one request for a /25)!
