Well Said Sunday,

I suggest that the Board write a proper explanation to the community,

The email that was sent by the Interim Chair looks so vague and does not
detail the findings. Since a report was made and this is a community issue,
why should the chair in summary which may not necessarily be a summary but
a personal opinion. The issue was raised and the community was very much
aware and was eagerly waiting for the report and if the report is not
shared then this suggest the investigation was not credible. The community
must have trust in the board and at this time i feel a marginalised trust
in board decisions.

The Board acknowledged receipt of the report. The Board is going to
thoroughly consider the report and recommendations thereof, and will share
with the community applicable actions and steps that will be taken in due
course.

The Board has also been advised that in considering the report they need to
be cognizant of issues of confidentiality and data protection.

Since the board recieved the report and considering the issue of
confidentilality, already the images of the various media used in the case
where the previous Board Chair (Sunday) showed violence of confidentiality,
private data was shared to the community, and I believe in Data protection
despite the fact these aspects cannot be generalised. I believe in AFRINIC
transparency and narrow the issue of transparency the case in question then
the Board must share with the community because there is nothing to review
since the review has been done. Why is the Board waiting to share the
applicable actions and steps in the due course? This is where immediate
response is required.

With regards to allegations made against certain members of staff, the
Board observed from the IC report that there may have been inappropriate
behaviour on the part of certain staff members.

When you mention that there may have been inapprpriate behaviour - this
shows that there is a level of inappropriate behaviour which could also
have been appropriate. COuld you please clearly outline the inappropriate
behaviour - these vices of inappropriateness must be wiped from AFRINIC,
despite the fact that an organisation may not achieve 100% effeciency,
there is need to wipe out the discrepancies on the part of the certain
staff members. If the staff members are not worthy of the organisation and
jeopardise the organisation - I believe we have a great CEO who can handle
this.

We appeal to the community to allow the Board time to consider the report
carefully, and provide feedback to the community no later than 31 July 2018
on the next steps and how the recommendations will be implemented.

I believe the Board has ample time but 31st July is a lot of time thinking
of the How the recommendations will be implemented.

Thanks

Kind regards
Daniel K. N.
