I actually think the right place to start is with trying to understand  
why the NAT was deployed to begin with. If it was not because of an  
address shortage then IPv6 is unlikely to have a significant role in  
replacing a single, easy to control and monitor ingress point.

The most important thing is meeting the organisation's business  
requirements. That won't always involve deploying a new technology and  
in some cases you'll even see organizations deploying new IPv4 and  
IPv6 NATs.
