*Dear AFRINIC Community and Resource Members,*

During the discussion of the policy proposal titled  Soft Landing, 
Recovered Space and Priority during the AFRINIC-37 Public Policy 
Meeting, the PDWG requested that AFRINIC  Publish a clear 
recovered-space cleanup procedure and a definition of "utilisation" 
ahead of the Last Call.


On behalf of the AFRINIC Secretariat, we are sharing two documents that 
explains how AFRINIC handles Internet Number Resources after they are 
deregistered from its WHOIS Database.

We recommend that you read the file titled 
AFRINIC-IP-Resources-Management.pdf first (these are contents that 
already existed on the website and will be re-published) , followed by 
Quarantined IP Resources Cleanup Procedure.pdf .


Should you have any queries , please feel free to reach out. We request 
that you use a simple, clear language that is easy to understand for
