That is actually a useful example.
It demonstrates that AS-SET name collisions are not merely a theoretical
concern and can arise within the AFRINIC service region.
It also reinforces one of the proposal's core arguments, namely that
preventing future collisions is preferable to relying on manual detection
and community intervention after the fact.
My remaining question would be whether AFRINIC staff have visibility on how
many similar cases may exist today within the AFRINIC IRR database and
whether any broader assessment has been conducted.
