An acknowledgment of the appeal keeps the integrity of the board’s action in check. Moving forward with ratifications reports without regard to the relevant appeal undermines the entirety of the appeals process despite its having been clearly outlined in CPM section 3.5. With as many current distractions as Owen has pointed out, it may very well be enticing for the board to cut corners to achieve its agenda.  A simple question to ask yourself: at what number of wrongdoings will you stop to sit comfortably back when the board continues to violate trust and transparency with the community?
