I expect to wait for the appeal to be processed. I do not expect to wait for the board to acknowledge that the appeal
has been made, that it is valid, and that the appeal committee will consider it in due course.

According to the ToR, the committee should have already published a timeline for this appeal.

This has not happened to the best of my knowledge, likely because:
1. The appeal committee has not yet been reconstituted
2. The board may be distracted by the controversy of their attempt to seize control of the AC.
3. The board may be distracted by AFRINIC’s current financial situation
4. The board may be distracted by AFRINIC’s other current legal problems
5. The above reasons 2-4 may also be at least part of the cause of 1.

You, yourself have seen the board and/or the AC play dirty pool with the appeal requirements and other
variable interpretations of the technicalities. I would think you, of all people, would understand the need
for the board to at least acknowledge the appeal and provide some assurance that it will not ratify a
policy that should be under appeal.

Normally, I would agree with you. However, in the face of recent events, I am unwilling to place so much faith in
this current board.
