Dear Eddy,

I appreciate for the utmost attention that you on behalf of the AFRINIC
have been paying to the ongoing discussions in the RDP mailing list by the
Policy Development Working Group (PDWG) and likewise facilitating the
discussion with a summary of all the options.

I concur that conducting an online election (Option 1) would be the better
option as it gives every member an easier access to express their support
and make their choice. As well as creating an opportunity to a wider
community participation. On the other hand, I do not support the idea of
the co-chair selection by the PDWG via a consensus, because it becomes
extremely exclusive limiting the community participation rate in being part
of the decision making process. Equally, a consensus I believe will be
highly contentious to attain.
