Hello
I support this proposal and believe it's well written and needed for
AfriNic PDP guaranteeing a clear and very transparent election model,
leaving very little space for disputes and that the community's choice
will be ensured.
Also the proposal resolves situations which currently are difficult to
be resolved today and implements the possibility of the Afrinic Board to
appoint an ad-hoc Chair to fill a vacant position until the following
PPM if needed.
However I suggest the authors to remove the "gender" restriction on
3.3.1.3 as this is unnecessary. People should be chosen by the capacity
to serve as Co-Chair and understanding of the PDP Process and not if
they are man or woman. If we have 2 good female candidates that may be
able to serve better than a man or vice-versa this must the be the more
important point regardless of their gender. Keeping the restriction for
2 people form the same country or organization is fine in order to avoid
conflict of interest.
I invite colleague to review and support it in order to resolve a
problematic situation we have today in regards this topic.
Thanks
Fernando
