I agree with Ronald and i think that is part of the *netiquette* [1], 
which each individual must try to follow.

...starting now, i will try to always apply this advice, primarily 
because i usually read mails from mailinglists via the mail archive 
interfaces ; and i can tell you that it's not an easy task, when you 
have to deal with *almost* infinite lines :'-(
