[rpd] Proposal update received: Abuse Contact Policy Update

Hi Paschal,

First of all, thanks a lot for reading the proposal!

I think that will basically depend on each operator system. If they aren’t able to “correlate” the first validation attempt (the “initial” validation) with the second one, to merge them in a single ticket, it may be duplicated.

Remember also that the initial validation is sent to the abuse-c, the other one is sent to escalated mail-boxes (other contacts), because is the result of the abuse-c not validating after 15 days. If they are different (as I expect), there is probably a different ticket system (or even no ticket system for the other contacts – as said it depends on each operator).

In any case, I think, that’s not changing the results of the policy compliance neither the validation process.

Does that answer your question or I’m missing anything?

Regards,

Jordi

Hello jordi i think its quite a common tradition to attach timelines with generated tickets from help-desk based scenarios. lets say a timeline is associated with the validation process does that mean if validation is extended to another 15 days a new ticket will be generated for each extension?

Thanks Dewole, all,

I've created an online diff, so it is easier to compare with the previous version:

In this version I resolved the concerns raised in the impact analysis of the previous version, especially those regarding to the blocking of the online services, which now remain at the implementation decision what should be blocked or not. This way also facilitates to AFRINIC staff changing this, if needed.
