[rpd] Nomcom request for feedback

I agree that the nomcom should reconsider those candidate that was removed
because they fail to submit their information as when requested by nomcom.

It wasn't their fault that they were not able to submit the information
requested as at when requested.

The email, not only that it was too sudden, the deadline for submission was
also extremely too short.

Also I suggest that a proper and very clear procedure that qualifies a
candidate for any position should be documented along side with all
required documents to avoid misconception and misunderstanding within the
AFRINIC community.

Thanks.

Humbly

I agree that a clearer definition of the procedure is needed. This whole
election shall be transparent and fair - right now I don?t see any
transparency when some candidates claimed that they have been taken off
from the list even they submitted their application on time.

It?s like the committee is taking off people at their wish - what we need
is an open and transparent process instead of a black box.

This whole thing shows that this problem of NONCOM shall be given more
attention.

Dear community,

Veuillez trouvez la version fran?aise ci dessous.

The nomination committee received a question about the process for the
election of two PDWG co-chairs as one of the open seats is for a two-year
team and the other open seat is for a one-year term. The nomination
committee contacted the Afrinic elections committee to request the process
document for the elections. The nomination committee was informed that
there isn?t any documented process for the election of two PDWG co-chairs.

The nomination committee recommends that the process for the election of
the two PDWG co-chairs should be documented so that the working group
understand how the process works.

There were nine nominations for the two the PDWG co-chair seats. After
reviewing the nominations, the nomination committee found that there only
four candidates who submitted the required information before the endtime.
The nomination committee was contacted by four other nominees as their
names did not appear in the announcement which was sent to the RPD mailing
list.

The nomination committee would like to solicit the feedback of the PDWG on
the above by Friday 7 of June at 23:59 UTC
