You can risk a small portion of an enterprise network (because it is a test-bed, or an ISP pilot, etc.), and you're doing that to gain experience, etc., you have control over the people using it, probably even their devices, but not in a temporary network for a conference.

Considering the last comments here at least you have Mark Tinka (SEACOM)
willing to gain more experience during the upcoming AIS :) ... Kudos to
them !
