Subject: Re: [rpd] Internet Number Resources Review Proposal

It has been brought to my attention that my remarks below might be misinterpreted to be an insult and a sign of disrespect to the Co-chairs. Nothing could be further from my intent.

In my culture we have a saying “it takes a bigger man to admit when he is wrong.” My intent here was merely to recognize and praise the courage and integrity it took for the Co-chairs to step up as they have in this situation.

Theirs is not an easy job and I have sincere respect for it and for them in doing it. While I have had my differences with them, and likely will in the future, they are the kind of differences which can be held with mutual respect and an understanding that people of conscience can interpret the same set of facts differently and legitimately come to different conclusions without malice or contempt.

I sincerely apologize for any insult or ill will which may be attributed to my remarks. None was intended.

Owen

In future, such members will be moderated (with no SLA for processing moderated posts as it is unreasonable to violate the code of conduct and expect prompt processing of your posts). We would rather have everyone speak freely but irresponsible and inconsiderate speech here and on the community list has got to stop, please.
