Clarification
Dear all
Thank you for your interest in Larus Foundation. It is not our intention to
interfere with this. However, as the Foundation is named directly, we deem
it necessary to provide an explanation for the community.
LARUS foundation was established in 2018. It is a registered NGO with a
mission to promote internet governance across all regions. We hope to raise
people’s awareness of internet governance and policy making, especially
young people. We aim to make a better internet and a better future for
future generations.
It's not a secret organization that needs to be unraveled in any sense. We
openly and actively promote the Foundation and its activities to people by
giving our promotional materials in the meetings. We wish to let more
people be aware of the existence of the Foundation and it’s function. In
the last AFRINIC meeting, a considerable number of attendees received our
invitation to join the Foundation. We welcome those who are interested in
internet governance and policymaking. We are an equal opportunity
organisation which embraces all kinds of race, color and region. We do not
interfere with our candidates’ opinion regarding internet governance.
We welcome public donations. Our staff are currently working on getting the
website online. You are very welcome to contact me, or other staff members
if you have any future questions regarding our initiative. You are also
welcome to contact us if you are interested in joining the fellowship
programme or other programmes which we will launch in the coming year.
I have attached a booklet regarding Larus Foundation for your reference. I
hope this clarify things.
Thank you very much for your kind attention.
