I think A,B attempts to indicate what each alphabet mean. If you ask me I
would say perhaps the following would have sufficed:
".....where A=IXP BGP route server and B=participant ASN."
Nevertheless I think that could be easily deduced.

Currently reads: " typically in the form of A:B, where A,B represent..."
and I think the second comma should be a colon, so: typically in the form
of A:B, where A:B represent.
