[AFRINIC-rpd] Re: rpd Digest, Vol 78, Issue 8 on Head of IT at AFRINIC

Dear All,

Que celui qui n’a jamais péché lui jette le 1ere pierre! This famous
line says it all. Thanks Dorothy, Owen, McTim, Bill for your
support and willingness not to pillory someone at face value.

I would like here to reiterate management and staff’s unconditional
support to Neriah. To our knowledge, Neriah’s CV nor background never
contravened AFRINIC’s recruitment policy. Before joining AFRINIC he
lived and worked in Canada in two public and renowned organisations
which had no issues with Neriah’s records either. We hired Neriah Sossou
because he knows his job and has been very good at it at AFRINIC.

I would like for the record to notify the community that this is the
third time in 3 months that some people using either fake emails or
twitter accounts are going out of their way to paint AFRINIC staff in a
dark way. We take it seriously and do our internal due diligence.
We also look at it partly as a sign of people disgruntled by our staff
doing their job and doing it well. Any unhappy requester is welcome to
escalate their case and we will look at it: admin-escalate at afrinic.net

Regards,
Anne-Rachel
