Douglas Onyango,
Author: AFPUB-2010-v4-002,

On behalf of the AfriNIC PDP-MG, I would like to find out if you can submit revised text
for the polIcy proposal "AFPUB-2010-v4-002 IPv4 Softlanding Policy Proposal" so that the
PDP-MG can prepare the draft for further discussion at the up coming AfriNIC-13 Public
Policy Meeting of 24-25 November 2010.

As you must be aware and as shown in the message of Wed, 14 Jul 2010 from the PDP-MG
Chairs copied here below, your proposal attracted considerable objections on thr RDP list
and hence needs revision to address the objections.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards,

Paulos

Subject:	[AfriNIC-rpd] Conclusion of 15-day Last Call Period
Keywords:

Dear Colleagues,

Following the conclusion of the 15-day last call period and in line with the AfriNIC
Policy Development Process (PDP), the PDP-MG has, after considering the deliberations
during the last call period, reached the following conclusions:

1. IPv4 Softlanding Policy Proposal
There was considerable objection to this proposal and therefore the proposalwill nowgo
back to the Resource Policy Discuss (RPD) mailing list for further deliberations and
possible discussion at the next AfriNIC face-to-face meeting.

Way Forward: The policy proposal author is therefore advised to incorporate any comments
received during the last call and to resubmit the policy proposal to the RPD mailing list
for further discussion.

2. Revised PDP for the AfriNIC Service Region Policy Proposal
There weren't any objections on this proposal and therefore the PDP-MG will be
recommending that the AfriNIC Board ratifies this propoosal.

Way Forward: The PDP-MG will prepare a report to the AfriNIC Board that will recommend
that this proposal be ratified.

Regards,

Vincent Ngundi
Chair, AfriNIC PDP-MG
