Thanks for the feedback. That makes much more sense.
Is the data schema of the underlying database documented somewhere?
It would be very useful if the WG members had that available as a
reference during conversions like this.
For example, in this case it would immediately tell us whether we are
discussing a design shortcoming or a bug.
