Hello Badru,
I think it should be clear that you have a unique status within the
community and when you make comments/contributions it could naturally
become basis to make past references that does not necessarily positively
address the present situation(that is nature). This definitely should not
make you stop talking just that it should not be too surprising when you
get a challenging response. In my country, the past President has avoided
making public comments on the present one, so I commend your courage for
even contributing to this extent.
I don't think anyone has acted as proxy on this list so far otherwise such
person would not have the right to contribute on the list. It will be good
for staff to check if this is not the case.
By the way, it's fun that you are no longer at the receiving end of all
these ;-) but I am sure you know what it feels like to be at that end of
the rope.
