[AFRINIC-Announce] Reminder: Nominations Open for ICANN Board Seat 9

The Address Supporting Organization Address Council (ASO AC) reminds the community that nominations remain open for Seat 9 on the ICANN Board of Directors.

The selected candidate will serve a three-year term starting at the conclusion of ICANN’s 2027 Annual Meeting, expected in November 2027, following designation by the ICANN Empowered Community.

Nominations close on Tuesday, 15 December 2026 at 23:59 UTC.

Anyone may nominate a candidate, including themselves. Email nominations to board-nominations at aso.icann.org <mailto:board-nominations at aso.icann.org>, providing:

The nominee’s full name, email address, country of citizenship or eligible domicile, and telephone number, if available.
The nominator’s full name, email address and telephone number, if available.
Nominees must accept their nomination and return the completed Certification Letter before the nomination phase closes. Please submit nominations early to allow time to complete these steps.
