Dear Colleagues,

AFRINIC is pleased to invite applications for its Fellowship Programme for the AFRINIC-37 Meeting, taking place during the Africa Internet Summit 2026  in Nairobi, Kenya, from 22 to 26 June 2026.

This fellowship is intended for individuals from small organisations, academia, and the media who are actively contributing to Internet development within their respective countries. Selected fellows are expected to play an active role in promoting awareness of AFRINIC’s mission and services across Africa and the Indian Ocean region.

Eligibility criteria
 To be considered, applicants must:

Be residents of an African country.
Not necessarily be an AFRINIC member.
Be actively involved in the Internet community.
Be willing to submit a report outlining how the fellowship has benefited them, their organisation, or their country within an agreed timeframe.

Successful applicants will be notified directly and will have fourteen (14) days to confirm their acceptance. A public announcement of the selected fellows will be made once confirmations are received.

Fellowship timeline

- Tuesday, 5 May 2026: Application Deadline.
- Monday, 18 May 2026: Notification of selected fellows.
- Monday, 25 May 2026: Deadline for acceptance.
- Friday, 29 May 2026: Announcement of selected fellows.

Fellowship benefits include:

Round-trip airfare to AFRINIC-37.
Hotel accommodation from the day before the event through to the final day.

Programme de bourses AFRINIC : Appel à candidatures - AIS’26

Chers collègues,
AFRINIC a le plaisir d’inviter les candidatures à son Programme de bourses pour la réunion AFRINIC-37, qui se tiendra dans le cadre du Sommet Internet de l’Afrique 2026 à Nairobi, au Kenya, du 22 au 26 juin 2026.

Cette bourse s’adresse aux personnes issues de petites organisations, du milieu universitaire et des médias qui contribuent activement au développement de l’Internet dans leur pays respectif. Les boursiers sélectionnés devront jouer un rôle actif dans la promotion de la mission et des services d’AFRINIC à travers l’Afrique et la région de l’océan Indien.

Critères d’éligibilité

 Pour que leur candidature soit prise en compte, les candidats doivent :

Être résidents d’un pays africain.
Ne pas nécessairement être membres d’AFRINIC.
Être activement impliqués dans la communauté Internet.
Être disposés à soumettre, dans un délai convenu, un rapport décrivant les avantages que la bourse a apportés à eux-mêmes, à leur organisation ou à leur pays.

Les candidats retenus seront informés directement et disposeront de quatorze (14) jours pour confirmer leur acceptation. Une annonce publique des boursiers sélectionnés sera faite une fois les confirmations reçues.

Calendrier du programme de bourses

- Mardi 5 mai 2026 : Date limite de candidature.
- Lundi 18 mai 2026 : Notification des boursiers sélectionnés.
- Lundi 25 mai 2026 : Date limite d'acceptation.
- Vendredi 29 mai 2026 : annonce des boursiers sélectionnés.

Les avantages de la bourse comprennent :

Un billet d’avion aller-retour pour AFRINIC-37.
L’hébergement à l’hôtel à partir de la veille de l’événement jusqu’au dernier jour.
