[AFRINIC-Announce] Call for Nominations - AFRINIC Governance Committee (GC) Members

Dear colleagues, 

The AFRINIC Governance Committee is a standing committee whose purpose is to advise the AFRINIC Board, AFRINIC Membership, and the community, on matters of governance.

NomCom is hereby calling for nominations from the community for one Governance Committee position up for election, to serve a three-year term from    1 January 2021 to 31 December 2023. The seat is currently held by Mr. Abdalla Omari.

NomCom would like to receive Nominations from all of the AFRINIC sub-regions and are explicitly looking for both Gender and Language diversity although a working understanding of the English language would be highly beneficial.

 Nomination Requirements:

 ·       GC members shall be resident in the AFRINIC service region.

·       None of the elected members may be an AFRINIC Director, or an AFRINIC employee.

·       A valid nomination must originate from or be submitted by an authorized and registered contact person of the nominating member organization. The nomination must also be seconded/endorsed by at least one additional AFRINIC member, different from the nominating member organization. Nominators and seconders/endorsers must all be AFRINIC members in good standing.

·  Self-nominations are permitted and must be endorsed by 2 distinct AFRINIC members in good standing.

Appel à candidatures - Membres du Comité de gouvernance (CG) AFRINIC

Le Comité de gouvernance AFRINIC est un comité permanent dont le but est de conseiller le Conseil d'administration, les membres de l'AFRINIC et la communauté sur les questions de gouvernance.

Le NomCom lance un appel à candidatures à la communauté pour un poste au comité de gouvernance à pourvoir par élection, pour un mandat de trois ans allant du 1er janvier 2021 au 31 décembre 2023. Le siège est actuellement occupé par M. Abdalla Omari.

Le NomCom souhaite recevoir des candidatures de toutes les sous-régions d'AFRINIC et recherche explicitement la diversité des genres et des langues, bien qu'une compréhension pratique de la langue anglaise serait très bénéfique.

 Exigences en matière de nomination :

 - Les membres du CA doivent résider dans la région de service AFRINIC.

- Aucun des membres élus ne peut être un administrateur d’AFRINIC, ni un employé d’AFRINIC.

- Une candidature valide doit émaner ou être soumise par une personne de contact autorisée et enregistrée de l'organisation membre qui la propose. La candidature doit également être appuyée/approuvée par au moins un membre supplémentaire d'AFRINIC, différent de l'organisation membre qui a proposé la candidature. Les auteurs de la proposition et les personnes qui l'appuient ou l'approuvent doivent tous être des membres en règle de l'AFRINIC.

- Les autonominations sont autorisées et doivent être approuvées par deux membres en règle de l'AFRINIC.

دعوة لتقديم الترشيحات - أعضاء لجنة حوكمة AFRINIC

 

لجنة حوكمة AFRINIC هي لجنة دائمة تهدف إلى تقديم المشورة إلى مجلس AFRINIC ، وعضوية AFRINIC ، والمجتمع بشأن مسائل الحوكمة.

تدعو NomCom بموجب هذا إلى تقديم ترشيحات من المجتمع لمنصب واحد في لجنة الحوكمة حتى الانتخابات ، لفترة ولاية مدتها ثلاث سنوات من 1 يناير 2021 إلى 31 ديسمبر 2023. يشغل المقعد حاليًا السيد عبد الله العمري.

ترغب NomCom في تلقي الترشيحات من جميع المناطق الفرعية في AFRINIC وتبحث بوضوح عن كل من الجنس والتنوع اللغوي على الرغم من أن الفهم العملي للغة الإنجليزية سيكون مفيدًا للغاية.

Convocatória de Nomeações - Membros da Comissão de Governança AFRINIC (CG)

 

O Comitê de Governança AFRINIC é um comitê permanente cujo propósito é aconselhar o Conselho AFRINIC, os membros da AFRINIC e a comunidade, em assuntos de governança.

A Comissão de Governança da AFRINIC é uma comissão permanente cujo objetivo é aconselhar a Diretoria da AFRINIC, AFRINIC e a comunidade sobre assuntos de governança. A cadeira é atualmente ocupada pelo Sr. Abdalla Omari.

O NomCom gostaria de receber indicações de todas as sub-regiões da AFRINIC e está explicitamente à procura da diversidade linguística e de género, embora uma compreensão funcional da língua inglesa fosse altamente benéfica.

 Requisitos de Nomeação:

 - Os membros do CG devem ser residentes na região de serviço da AFRINIC.

- Nenhum dos membros eleitos pode ser Diretor da AFRINIC, ou funcionário da AFRINIC.

- Uma indicação válida deve ser originada ou apresentada por uma pessoa de contato autorizada e registrada da organização membro que a indicou. A nomeação também deve ser secundada/endossada por pelo menos um membro adicional da AFRINIC, diferente da organização membro que fez a nomeação. Os indicados e os segundos/endoscedentes devem ser todos membros AFRINIC em dia com suas obrigações.

- Auto-nomeações são permitidas e devem ser endossadas por 2 membros distintos de AFRINIC em dia com suas obrigações.
