[AFRINIC-announce] Call for Fellowship AIS'14

Dear Colleagues,

Please note that the Call for Fellowship for the Africa Internet Summit
2014, AIS'14, to be held from 25 May to 6 June 2014, in Djibouti,
Republic of Djibouti, is now open.

The fellowship is reserved for individuals representing small
organisations, universities, and media who are actively involved in
Internet operations and development or ICT policies in their countries.

The fellow is expected to positively and actively contribute to IP
address management awareness in our service region.        

To qualify for the fellowship, you: 

-          should be a resident of Africa;

-          must not necessarily be an AFRINIC member;

-          should have a technical (IT, Computer Science) background;

-          have not benefited from previous AFRINIC/AIS fellowships; 

-          are willing to report on how this fellowship has benefited
you/your organisation/country.

Upon selection, we will notify the selected fellows directly and allow
them seven (7) days to accept or reject the offer.

A public announcement of the fellowship awardees will be made after the
acceptance by the selected candidates.

Please find hereafter the schedule for the fellowship process: 

  * Call opens on: 25 February 2014
  * Call closes on: 25 March 2014
  * Selected fellows contacted on: 7 April 2014
  * Deadline for fellowship acceptance: 14 April 2014
  * Fellows list announced on: 21 April 2014

The fellowship includes: 

1.      Assistance with round-trip airfare to the meeting venue

2.      Hotel accommodation for the event from the day for the
conference week.

Programme de bourse d'AFRINIC

Chers Collègues,

Veuillez noter que l'appel a candidature pour le programme de bourse du
Sommet Internet Africain 2014, AIS'14, qui se tiendra du 25 mai au 6
juin 2014, a Djibouti, République de Djibouti, est maintenant ouvert.

Les bourses sont réservées en priorité aux individus provenant de
petites organisations, d'universités ou médias,  qui participent
activement aux opérations et politiques de l'internet ou des
télécommunications dans leurs pays.

Le bénéficiaire est appelé à contribuer positivement aux programmes de
sensibilisation de la gestion des ressources Internet dans notre région
de service.          

Pour remplir les critères nécessaires, il faut que vous :  

-          soyez un résident de l'Afrique;

-          ne soyez pas nécessairement un membre d'AFRINIC;

-          ayez une formation technique (informatique ou TIC); 

-          n'ayez jamais bénéficié d'une bourse d'AFRINIC/AIS;

-          soyez disposé, à travers un rapport, à expliquer comment
cette bourse a été bénéfique à votre organisation ou pays.

Nous ferons une annonce pour communiquer la liste des candidats
sélectionnés. Veuillez consulter ci-dessous les dates clés du programme:

·         L'appel s'ouvre le 25 février

·         L'appel ferme le 25 mars

·         Les boursiers sélectionnés sont contactés le 7 avril

·         Date limite pour accepter la bourse le 14 avril

·         Liste de Boursiers annoncée  le 21 avril

Les bénéfices du programme :   

          Soutien dans l'achat de votre billet d'avion pour vous rendre
à la conférence
    Sponsoring de votre séjour à l'hôtel durant la semaine de Conference
de AIS.
