[AfriNIC-announce] AfriNIC contributes to the Arab IGF

AfriNIC is proud to be contributing to the Arab Internet Governance
(AIGF) scheduled in Kuwait CIty in October 2012, to implement the Arab
Regional Roadmap for Internet Governance.

A Multi-stakeholder open consultation meeting was held Beirut, Lebanon
at the beginning of February 2012 to discuss the establishment of an
Arab Internet Governance Forum (AIGF).

In preparation for the first AIGF event later this year, the Secretariat
has issued an invitation for experts from all stakeholder groups to be
part of a Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group (MAG).

The final Arab MAG announcement and the application form are now
published and available at

Please note that the deadline for submitting applications is Tuesday, 8
May 2012. Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as
early as possible before the deadline, in order to enable sufficient
time for early assessment and in turn enable an earlier announcement of
the AMAG composition.

Please feel encouraged to disseminate this information to relevant
people/entities in your respective networks.
