[AfriNIC-announce] AfriNIC-14 Meeting Concluded

Dear Colleagues,

We have successfully concluded AfriNIC-14 last week on 09 June 2011, 
followed by an AfGWG meeting on 10 June 2011 in Dar es Salaam.

We would like to thank you all for your contributions that led to  the 
success of this event. More specifically our sincere recognition goes to 
our Local Host; the TCRA and TZNIC, our sponsors; CRDB, ISOC, The 
Ministry of Communication and Technology, NMB, Simbanet, TRA, WIA, White 
Sands and Zantel for their support.

As always, it was a pleasure for our team to interact face to face with 
the community and the AfriNIC members.

At any one time of the day, we had about 206 people present in the 
plenary meeting room and 39 people followed the streaming online (on the
English and French channel).

We enjoyed discussing with Government representatives from 10 countries 
who attended the 4th AfriNIC Government Working Group meeting of the year.

The IP Resource analyst booth recorded another record number of 
consultations during this meeting with more than 20 consultations; 2 new 
onsite
memberships, and 7 IPv6 allocations requests made during the meeting.
