Thanks Marcus, Hisham for your contributions. We are not really touching Saturday and Sunday - we will continue to have the meetings that we have had previously. We will also definitely have the AfREN meeting. Ditto the AfNOG meeting. I think reflective from the suggested (and note this is just a working document with impending changes etc.) is that we are trying to accommodate the interests of the many disparate groups as part of meeting the AIS's philosophy. I think if we continue to do things the way we did them, then we will not really have an AIS. Whilst AIS is not a complete departure from the philosophy of the previous meetings, I think we should try to do things a bit differently as we go forward. i think change is as good as a rest, just to use the saying. Moreover, we also want to bring on board, as I have said previously, other groups that are interested in Internet development as well as its impact upon the social and economic development in Africa.

Many thanks.

George

For example, what we would like to see addressed in the parallel sessions, panels, presentations as well roundtables? Hopefully we can do this in two weeks to allow us agree on what should go where on the table. Once that is done, we can then proceed with the call for papers and presentations and think on who can sit on the various panels. Similarly, we can start to think of who can give keynotes. I suppose the keynote speakers will be interested in seeing what issues will be on our programme.
