Can you give some more details?

Why does your 'IPv6' machine not also have IPv4 too? (to talk to the
ipv4 only parts of your network and the internet)?

What is stopping you adding IPv6 addresses elsewhere in your network?

Well, yes, these are completely different - one is v4 and the other v6
