[AfrICANN-discuss] Reminder: Call for Nominations for candidates in the 2025 election is still Open

[AFRINIC Communication]

Dear Resource and Community Members,
The Call for Nominations for candidates in the 2025 election for AFRINIC Board of Directors is open till 29 August 2025 at 23:59 Mauritius time. We also encourage those who have previously submitted applications in the last process to resubmit their applications.

The available seats on AFRINIC's Board of Directors for the 2025 elections are as follows:

Seat One: North Africa;
Seat Two: West Africa;
Seat Three: Indian Ocean;
Seat Four: Central Africa;
Seat Five: Southern Africa;
Seat Six: Eastern Africa;
Seat Seven: Region-Independent;
Seat Eight: Region-Independent.

Each seat can only be held by one candidate. A natural person residing in the above sub-regions and national of a country in the said sub-region, as stated, may be nominated for Seats 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

A natural person residing in any of the above sub-regions and national of a country in any of the said sub-regions may be nominated for Seats 7 and 8.

Elected candidates will serve a term not exceeding (3) years only with respect to Seats 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

The Call for Candidates is open till 29 August 2025 at 23:59 MUT.
