Greetings from Sénégal.
+1 @Barrack Otieno <otieno.barrack at gmail.com>
According to my knowledge, the establishment of the .tg naming charter was
discussed at length and collegially with representatives of the private
sector and civil society and universities under the leadership of
representatives of the Regulatory Authority (formerly ART & P now
ARCEP-Togo). Discussions lasted for several, as did the redelegation
process which took nearly 6 years of discussions to come to fruition. The
former Administrative and Technical Manager (the private company CAFE
INFORMATIQUE ET TELECOMMUNICATIONS) is maintained as Technical Manager and
the Regulatory Authority has become the new Administrative Manager of .tg.
In reality, we had therefore come to an agreement on the content of this
charter that we developed together. The problem remains the establishment
of an inclusive management body for the ccTLD .tg by a NIC-Togo (Network
Informaton Center) still fictitious. So this is not yet the case despite
the accreditation of several other Registrars in addition to the Technical
Manager. All this has led the Togolese chapter of ISOC to express
reservations and refuse to validate the process. Indeed, we believe that it
set up an inclusive NIC for a good management of the ccTLD, it is a
practice considered as the best.
My two cents

>> Dear Arsene and Emmanuel,
>> My humble opinion on this Internet Governance issue is that there is an

>>> There is currently a conversation going on within the Togolese ecosystem

>>> According to article 4 of the national charter in Togo, the domain names
>>> ending with the extension. TG can only be assigned if the domain name

>>> list at the end of the email).
>>> For example, as a natural person, I cannot have a domain name with my

>>> Below are the naming zones selected for the “. tg ”
>>> 1. admin.tg for public administrations;

>>> 3. edu.tg for the education sector;
>>> 4. gouv.tg for government structures;

>>> 7. tm.tg for trademarks;
>>> 8. com.tg for entities carrying out an activity of an industrial or

>>> 9. mairie.tg for municipalities (eg: lome.mairie.tg);
>>> 10. prefecture.tg for the prefectures (ex: yoto.prefecture.tg);

>>> 12. canton.tg for the county towns (eg: amoutive.canton.tg);
>>> 13. Info.tg for activities relating to the publication of

>>> 15. village.tg for villages (eg: edzi.village.tg).
>>> Only domain names for which the applicant does not correspond to any of
