As you elections are coming to UK and sometimes, politicians can say anything (even infeasible) just to please the electorate…And make the people feels safe.

But this clearly shows that, there will be more and more surveillance on the Internet moving forward…Governments want to listen and monitor all communications and transactions on the Internet…Is it possible?

 

The bottom line is that Cybersecurity is key for the future of the Internet and It will be more about technical resources, capacities building than legislation (laws).

While this may be good news for both country, I wonder why UK would see banning of encryption as a strategy that can help them. Perhaps prime minister forgot that most of his communications/transactions runs on https; will be good news to hackers if such is implemented ;-)
