[AfrICANN-discuss] me.ga suspended

Makes one wonder how many of these state run/funded cctld agencies would
have the conjones or the legal ability to stand up to a
government/minister's order that is politically motivated. Especially if
those agencies depend on government for all or part of their funding.

Have to admit that I haven't closely  followed the Mega Upload/Kim Dotcom
issue. But, IIRC that concerns have been raised in New Zealand about the
way in which governments have dealt with his arrest and seizure of assets.
If correct, then one needs to think a lot about protecting people's rights
and due process.
