In that case; although you got mixed up in Public and Political Organisations in African context... I for one would have expected NEPAD to be involved in this saga... 

I would be happy to discuss this further to find out why AUC was brought into the area where NEPAD should have been the leading Agency for Africa.

I would be honoured in my small way to have audience with the Authorities who are following this informal discussion to find out: 1) Why is NEPAD quiet on this economic activity; 2) what made it quiet and 3) about the African representation on matters of significant importance to Internet-based economic developments in Africa - why wasnt NEPAD made to take the Front Line at Abuja Ministerial meeting?

There are one or ten things to learn since time for hearsays and fence politics has rub out since I convinced that discussions in this list are misleading and full of fear of  asking for authoritative answers as I have just did and I dont expect muzzling any how. I expect openness

Next will about the Early Warning by GAC on gTLDs...why now, and its position in ICANN processes..a bit strange to me and maybe to others..?

I look forward to receiving a communication from our Authorities mentioned on this when time allows them please.

AUC is the COMMISSION which per definition in administration, wheras the AU might be described as "political". however it is the "public authority" in this context, not because it is like the EU a formal union to which national states have yielded issues such as trade, currency, immigration and travel (would it not be nice to travel between our countires without visa?) but the African not only act as a bloc on may fora, such as the ITU, the AU has indicates it is implementing a mandate given to it by Ministers in Abuja. The issue here is that...Why didnt the AUC apply to manage the .africa as it seems to be doing?

Another one: Yes the Guidelines said it all....but what is the role of GAC compared to that of AUC when it comes to Africa regional Internet issues? The best job is through NEPAD..can we let the AUC concentrate on its mandate which is so demanding?

As I think I have made clear before, it's "because the guidebook said so":

"An applied-for gTLD string that falls into any of 1 through 4 listed
above is considered to represent a geographic name. In the event of
any doubt, it is in the applicant’s interest to consult with relevant
governments and public authorities and enlist their support or
non-objection prior to submission of the application, in order to
preclude possible objections and pre-address any ambiguities
concerning the string and applicable requirements."

Clearly the AU/AUC are "public authorities", no?
