Dear Colleagues,

As per AfriNIC’s Bylaws (Section 11), two (2) seats on AfriNIC
Board of Directors will be open for election:

a) Seat 1: The Northern African sub-region (Primary and Alternate)
  Mandate: 2010 to 2013

b) Seat 4: The Western African sub-region (Primary and Alternate)
  Mandate: 2010 to 2013

We are pleased to invite nominations to fill in the above seats.

** Who can be nominated to seat on the Board?

Any natural person residing in one of the above sub-regions.
Self-nominations are also acceptable but need to be endorsed by two
persons.

Nominees should demonstrate a good experience in the Internet Protocol
Service/ Business or hold a position in this field (such as Board member
or holding a senior position in an Internet related organisation), be
able to actively participate and contribute to all activities conferred
to the Board of Directors by the AfriNIC bylaws (Section 13,
http://www.afrinic.net/corporate/bylaws.htm).

The candidates should have a good comprehension of the English language
(the working language of the Board).

Nominations should be sent to nomcom2010 at afrinic.net with the following

The deadline for nominations is Thursday 13 May 2010 at 20:00 UTC.
