[AfrICANN-discuss] Registration for AfTLD Tanzania 2009 event (13-17 April 2009)

Under the theme "Securing Africa's Internet Infrastructure",  the AfTLD
annual African ccTLD event for 2009 will be held in Arusha, Tanzania from 13
- 17 April 2009, and will include the AfTLD Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The event is organized and generously hosted by the Tanzania Network
Information Centre (.tzNIC).

This year's event includes a detailed three (3) day technical training
workshop on Attack/Disaster Contingency and Recovery Planning (A/DCRP) for
technical managers and staff of ccTLDs. AfTLD hereby invites interested
parties to attend, including:

*	ccTLD organizations from Africa and elsewhere 
*	Telecommunications firms 
*	Internet service providers (ISPs) 
*	Governments 
*	ICT agencies 
*	Any other interested persons and firms

Through the workshops, AfTLD intends to contribute to the process of
developing and enhancing secure and robust national Internet infrastructure
and services in Africa. Presenters will include leading figures on Internet
security, attack, disaster contingency and recovery planning tackling
realistic scenarios.

The two day AfTLD annual meeting immediately after the technical training
workshop will include presentations on a proposal for an African Dispute
Resolution Process, which AfTLD is formulating, and updates in AfTLD's
research and capacity building efforts.

As in previous years, and in line with its policy of supporting the regional
community, AfTLD will be offering a limited number of financial grants to
members of the Internet community from Africa service region interested in
attending its annual meeting of AfTLD
