AfriNIC-12 Public Policy Meeting - Call for Presentations and Tutorials,
Kigali - Rwanda
Dear Colleagues,
"Call for Presentations and Tutorials" period is open for the AfriNIC-12
Public Policy meeting to be held in Kigali, Rwanda 29 May to 4 June 2010.
Take an active role in AfriNIC-12 by joining other presenters in delivering
tools, knowledge, know-how and policy ideas related to Internet Protocol and
its Number Resources Management to participants.

How to submit:
Please review all information included on this page before submitting your
proposal. If you would like to make a presentation or tutorial proposal, it
must be received no later than the 5th March 2010 and must be sent to
meeting[at]afrinic.net
Your proposal should contain the following information:
. Full Name
. Email Address
. Affiliation
. Short biography
. Title of Talk
. A detailed abstract or outline describing the presentation
. Draft slides for the presentation (if ready/available)
. Length of talk (minutes/hours/days)
. Need (or not) for sponsorship or assistance to attend the meeting
(travel and/or accommodation, etc)
Guidelines:
. Presentations may cover the following topics: IPv6 deployment,
Security, IDN, Mobile & IP, Anti-Spam
. Presentations will be fifteen (15) to thirty (30) minutes in length.
. AfriNIC will provide the space, tea/lunch breaks and projector
equipment.
. Presenters will be responsible for any handouts. Typically there are
approximately 100-150 delegates.
. All presentations will be delivered with the highest professionalism
to maximize the value obtained by the attendee. Any selling (perceived or
overt) during the session is deemed unprofessional and is not
acceptable.
. Selection decisions will be made by the Meeting Coordination team.
. Selected presenters will be contacted by the Events Coordinator to
coordinate logistics and details.
. Each presentation will be submitted in PowerPoint or PDF by the
presenter(s) approximately 2 weeks prior to the event date.
The audience at AfriNIC meetings is mainly composed of technical network
operators and engineers with a wide range of experience levels from
beginners to seasoned professionals.
*** Presentations that contain any sort of marketing and commercial content
are usually not encouraged at such meetings.
