Hi Dr.
Thanks for the follow-up. You may have asked at a good time. I did not
forget DOT AFRICA. I have been working on it. The following is in progress
and or completed:
1- Proposal for stakeholders (completed)
2- Financial projections and Business Model (completed)
3- Support/endorsement from Pan African organiztions (in progress)
4- Support from preferred ICANN accredited Registries (in progress)
5- Support from the preferred sponsoring organization has been solicited
with positive feedback, pending confirmations.
6 -Volunteer secretariat have been selected and we are asking two to
three volunteers to be part of the project for the next steps.
6- Presentations are being pursued and completed in various foras in Africa
and US to get required support (in progress)
We operate in a very transparent and responsible principle and look for
people to join the volunteer group as such.
We will hope to present the most current status and progress at the Los
Angeles ICANN meeting. Perhaps AR can put it on the 'African" agenda as
well.
I hope this helps in the update you requested..
Sophia
