So, if to my comprehension you aren’t aware of this development, its either you weren’t in attendance at the just concluded PPM of the AfRINIC Online Summit 2020 or you are trying to undermine the work, effort and diligence of the community, the staffs and the Board. To know more about which policies reached a rough consensus and which didn’t, as well as the decisions of the Board during the PPM, you can find it on the AFRINIC Youtube Page. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">OH…. to sweeten it up, the last call just ended a few minutes ago and a message was sent to the rpd mailing list saying that this Transfer Policy has been recommended for ratification. I guess this resolves it all. </div><div class=""><div><div><br class=""></div><div>Best regards, </div><div>Elvis.</div><div><br class=""></div><br class=""><blockquote type="cite" class=""><div class="">On Oct 8, 2020, at 08:04, Ekaterina Kalugina <<a href="mailto:kay.k.prof@gmail.com" class="">kay.k.prof@gmail.com</a>> wrote:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><div class=""><div dir="auto" class=""><div class="">Dear Darwin, </div><div dir="auto" class=""><br class=""></div><div dir="auto" class="">First of all there IS a certain sense of urgency in regards to the implementation of this policy for the simple reason that we do not know exactly when the AFRINIC resource pool will be exhausted. We simply cannot know. </div><div dir="auto" class=""><br class=""></div><div dir="auto" class="">The situation is being increasingly uncertain because of COVID, as most of business operation is moving online at an unprecedented speed. Dear community,
<div class=""><br class="">

<div class="">Concerning this Transfer Policy proposal, I also
concur with the ideology that the implementation of this policy
will do a lot of good to the African region. This policy
supports a much need two-way Inter-RIR Policy, and as well
ensures a swift communication between the transferring and
receiving RIRs and therefore, enhancing a smooth transfer and
receive of allocations and resources. Additionally, I support
this policy as it promotes the growth of businesses in the
African region and the immense development, assessment and
utilisation of the internet. The sooner, the better. </div>

to the passing of this proposal ?</p><p class="">This proposal has been very controversial in
several points, has been suffering several changes in
the very last minute and there is fair amount of
people that manifested their concern about the way
things are being conducted to get this to pass at any
cost, so why they are asking for this be be brought
back to discussion as the only way to achieve proper
consensus which is what the PDP mandates.</p><p class="">It seems in my view there is some blindness
about the issues this proposal has opened in the
intent to have it passed at any cost.</p><p class="">Fernando<br class="">

This policy has not failed at all, on the contrary,
it has received huge support from the community. <br class="">

I don’t see why we are wasting more time on
futilities and trying to come up with non valid
excuses to as to sabotage the passing of the policy,
even though the whole process was followed
thoroughly. The sooner this policy gets implemented,
the better for the region.<br class="">
