<div dir="ltr">Dear All, dear community<div><br></div><div>I am strongly in opposition to this RPKI ROA proposal, reasons being that it is going to create a centralization on the control of the internet which can result in an abuse of power. Secondly, issuing an AS0 for AFRINIC address space will result in AFRINIC attaining excessive power than they should have and moreover, voluntary cooperation is a means that can be utilized in the prevention of hijack. Additionally, if the AFRINIC controls the RPKI and in the event of a mistake in the routing database, it would lead to a shutdown of the internet and a vast loss of connectivity. AFRINIC's power way beyond its control. AFRINIC is a registration entity and
should not have authority over RPKI. Having such would run the risk of Internet
centralization and undermine the legitimacy of AFRINIC as an impartial

In addition, currently if there is a registration error, it is just a
registration error. However, if a registration error occurs with RPKI AS0,
people will actually lose their connectivity.<br>

For these reasons, I oppose this policy.<br>
